Is SMP a Cure for Baldness?

In a sense, yes, though it does not actually give you new hair. It gives you the appearance of hair by using pigment that fills tiny dots placed in the scalp. You will walk away with a “cropped” hairstyle that is popular around the world. You will enjoy this look as it is found attractive to women and will help you feel more confident around your friends, family and coworkers. The most wonderful part of SMP is that it is a fast, all-natural, and lasting solution for general hair loss. So, though you won’t have any new hair, you will have the appearance of having an amazing hairline. Check out our before and after photos to see the amazing results! Is a Scalp Micropigmentation like Microblading for a Scalp?
Microblading is done when a hand tool is dipped into a pigment and applied in brush strokes that mimic the direction of the hair. Tiny paper-cut-like incisions are made in the skin and ink is then used to fill in the incision. The results last about 1 to 1.5 years before they need to be repeated. This process is usually done for eyebrows, not for the scalp. For the scalp, we recommend a micropigmentation.

During the scalp micropigmentation procedure, the technician uses a small tool that applies dots of pigment that reach deeper into the skin. It gives an appearance of more scalp coverage when using dots in comparison with strokes. Additionally, since it isn’t real hair, the strokes from microblading will not give the appearance you are after. SMP is a much better option when going for scalp coverage and fixing a receded or thin hairline. Additionally, the results last up to 3 years! That is almost three times as long as microblading.

Pros and Cons of Different Hair Loss Treatments
There are several options out there that offer thicker, fuller hair. We are confident that SMP is a perfect and affordable hair loss treatment for men and women looking to improve their scalp coverage. Here are the alternatives and their pros and cons.

Minoxidil otherwise known as Rogaine
This strong treatment promises to keep hair from falling out and thicken hair that is already there. It does not do much for hair that has already fallen out. It is applied much like a shampoo two times each day. There have been some people that have regrown some hair, but 67% of men have reported Minoxidil as effective for giving them thicker and fuller hair.

The main issue with minoxidil is that it only works when applied and there is no guarantee that it will work. It also can take up to 4 months until there is an effect, so expect to pay a lot of money up front without seeing any results. Finally, when you stop using Minoxidil, your hair will continue falling out, possibly more rapidly than it ever was before. If you want to keep you hair this way, expect to spend a lot of money over many years.

Finasteride
This is a stronger treatment that stops the body from producing DHT or the main hormone responsible for losing hair. It is taken in the form of a pill. This works in 90% of men and many have reported actual hair regrowth. It is around the same price as Minoxidil products.

There are possible more severe side effects, however. There have been many men that have reported erectile dysfunction while using this hair loss treatment. Additionally, this is also a drug that only works while using it. As soon as you discontinue using Finasteride, your hair will continue falling out, possibly at a faster rate than before. This could be considered another risky and expensive treatment that is dependent on constant use.

Low Level Laser Therapy
Low level laser therapy uses lasers to stimulate hair growth. This is a much more natural solution for regrowing hair. This can often be seen as a headset someone wears daily for 15 minutes at a time as lasers are targeted at failing hair follicles.

This kind of treatment has not been proven to be effective and is speculative at best. The headsets can also be expensive to use without any guarantee of working. All of the cost for something you can do with your hands by scratching your own head.

Scalp Micropigmentation
SMP offers an all natural solution for general hair loss and alopecia. A hand tool is dipped into a pigment and gently applied on the scalp much like a tattoo, but not as far down into the skin. The results will last around 3 years and give the appearance of a full hairline. This treatment works for all skin types and skin colors.

The downside is that it comes only in one style, though that style is very popular among men and attractive to women. Many modern stars sport this look. You can be certain that you will get noticed for a massive improvement in your daily look. All while not having to spend any more money after the treatment. Call and schedule an appointment today!
